Deborah
Lessen is an acknowledged leader in the Pilates field.
Ms. Lessen founded the Greene Street Studio in 1983,
which nurtures a broad base of clients in the Pilates
method for general conditioning, performance specific
training, injury prevention and post
rehabilitation. Ms. Lessen is a founding member
and President of the Pilates Method Alliance. She has
served on the board of directors since its inception
and has been instrumental in overseeing the creation
and the execution of the PMA Pilates Certification
Exam. She is editor and contributor to the PMA Pilates
Certification Exam Study
Guide.
Dav
was first introduced to Pilates exercise in 1992 while
working in
Los
Angeles
,
California
as a fitness instructor and personal trainer. His
interest in the movement sciences and rehabilitation
led him to pursue a Master of Science Degree in
Physiotherapy, which he received from the
University
of
Miami
in 1998.
Since then Dav has worked teaching
Pilates in a variety of fitness and rehabilitation
settings, including Orthopaedic Physiotherapy clinics,
fitness centers, health clubs and with the Miami City
Ballet. He has been a Principal Educator with Polestar
Education since 1997 and was Director of Educator
Development for
Australia
and
New
Zealand
for the past 2 years. In 2006 he returned to the
USA
to serve as Curriculum Director, helping ensure the
quality of Polestar's teacher training programs
worldwide.

Dawnna

Educator for the Polestar Pilates® Education LLC,
based in
Miami
Florida

world leaders in the field of Pilates instructor

She spends a considerable part of her time conducting
in-house and external instructor training programmes
in
Hong
Kong
and other cities in
Asia
.
A
true movement and training specialist, Dawnna attends
seminars and courses in the fields of Pilates,
Gyrotonic® (she is one of eleven authorized Master
Trainers)and other mind-body exercise methods on a
regular basis all over the
world.
Samantha Robinson
Sam began her career studying dance and performance arts in
her native Sydney, Australia. She quickly adapted her classical
training to the fitness industry, which brought her to seek new
challenges in Hong Kong via Sydney and London.
Sam began studying Polestar Pilates under the guidance of
Master Trainer Dawnna Wayburne and now teaches the Polestar Mat,
Allegro and Studio certifications around Asia as well as continuing
to instruct at Iso Fit , Hong Kong. She presents workshops and Master
Classes on a regular basis all over Asia.
Sam’s broad experience of dance and fitness has proved beneficial
to her rapid development as a Pilates instructor, bringing a wealth
of knowledge to impart to her students and clients. This led her to
complete a masters Degree in Exercise and Nutrition Science writing
her dissertation on the effects of Pilates exercise.
Sam also organizes the Mentor training programme for Polestar Asia
and is currently completing her Gyrotonic® Expansion System training.
